Report Distribution

 

Email Distribution :

 

This screen gives the user of ability to distribute the report to a variety of end users. There are options to distribute to contacts outside of the organization, users inside the organization, and user groups inside the organization.

 

 

Fields denoted with an asterisk are required and must be filled. The user will notice that the subject line and message box come with self-generated content, but can be edited if a custom subject and message is desired.

 

In this window, the user can manually enter the email address(es) of the end user(s) who work outside of the organization and are not associated to any user or user group.  The report is distributed electronically via email with the report as an attachment.  Under the 'Users' and 'User Groups' tabs, the user can fill in the names of end users inside the organization by typing names in the users field.  Users that have been entered into SplashBI Excel Connect will auto-populate as the user types, and same with user groups set up in SplashBI  Excel Connect.

Select the export format, and click the 'Next' icon to proceed. it will redirect to data source of the  report.

 

FTP Distribution

 

FTP is useful for sending the output files from local server to remote server.

 

 

 

FTP Site

 

We can choose existing FTP site from dropdown or create new FTP sites by clicking on plus symbol.

 

File Naming Convention

 

We can give our own file naming convention to report output file.

 

Plus Symbol

 

By cliking the plus symbol we can able to create new FTP site.

 

 

Connection Name

 

Enter unique Connection name.

 

Description

 

Enter relevant brief description for FTP Site.

 

Host

 

Enter a valid host name.

 

User Name

 

Enter the valid user name of remote server.

 

Password

 

Enter the valid password of remote server.

 

Protocol

 

select required protocol from the dropdown.

 

Port

 

Port value will be automatically populated based on Protocol.

 

Remote Site Directory

 

Provide existing remote server directory path or new directory path to transfer report output files.Directory path should be start from home directory path or temporary directory path on wards.

 

Transfer Mode

 

select required value from the dropdown.

 

Make Public

 

Selecting the check box makes FTP site public and all other users can view this FTP site.

 

Save

 

Clicking on save button the newly provided FTP site details will save,then newly created FTP site will added to the FTP sites dropdown list.

 

File System

 

File system refers to the different folder paths in a structural way in the server.

 

 

File System

 

We can provide the existing or new server floder path in the File System text box to where we want to move the report output files within the file system. Directory path should be start from home directory path or temporary directory path on wards.

 

File Naming Convention

 

We can give our own file naming convenction to the report output file.

 

Attachments

 

We can save the file by three formate types attachments , they are Excel , CSV & PDF

 

Save

 

Save button saves the file system details.
